You won’t have to take a gamble on waking up in the morning with the rare Citizen “Flash Morning” alarm clock; it is sure to be a winner. Produced by Rhythm and made exclusively for the Japanese market, this unique alarm clock came out around the same time as the popular “Speak-Up Alarm” series by Rhythm in the early 1990s. It features nine flashing LED lights and three buttons (four including the on/off button). When the alarm goes off, a short motif is played, and then the LED lights flash as the alarm beeps constantly. You can either turn the alarm off, or test your luck by pressing the three buttons to see if you can snooze the alarm. In order to snooze it, the lights must stop in a horizontal or diagonal position. It is a very unique and rare alarm clock!
Notes: This is genuinely one of the most entertaining clocks I've ever had the pleasure of owning...I have another one in my personal collection. It has quite a few scuffs and scratches due to its age and use, but it still works and sounds great. Good luck sleeping with this alarm by your bedside! Watch the video for a demonstration.
The second hands on Rhythm's vintage Speak-Up alarm clocks are very fragile, and they very commonly come off during shipping. Out of all of these alarm clocks in my personal collection, over half of the second hands have come off at some point during transport...this is no joke, unfortunately. Please understand that although I have secured it, this still may happen, even with all of the bubble wrap and protective packaging that I use. Thank you very much!
